I need to take a poll. It looks like since Parker is so young and his trunk control has improved so much he will likely not need a wheelchair, but I do need to find and get a really good quality stroller. What are your favorites? It needs to have good support through the trunk, have a place to support his feet, be maneuverable with one hand and have a great basket underneathe. And collapse easily and well.
And/or if you have seen any really great crocheted or knit caps or hats, I am looking for fun ideas for those, too. Thanks!

Amanda Oveson Simper I don't have any great suggestions but I just want to say that is GREAT that he isn't going to need a wheelchair!! GO PARKER GO!

Abby Schulz Stephens I second that comment, no suggestions but that is awesome!

Amy Ward Yay! You are welcome to try out our stroller. 5th kid and I finally "splurged" (still a great price, though) and got a jogger that I love. Can't remember the brand right now, though. :)

Bryn Dean Do the OTs have any suggestions? So glad to hear of progress!

Laura Patterson Vanderbeek He might qualify for one through insurance. My neighbor has one for their 14 year old that they didn't have to pay a dime for.

  2. Lyric McKinlay Poulson We have a Bob jogging stroller that you're free to use!

Trisha Clark McCauley Erika Carlson McCauley is the one to ask on this she is the complete pro when it comes to strollers and things like that!

Marissa Jensen Kaplan Pm me your address...I have a whole bunch of hats, if you'd like them. Jake has a huge noggin. Oh, and we have a jeep brand jogging stroller. It is awesome.

Marissa Jensen Kaplan This is a hat I ordered for my new nephew off of eBay. It was less than $3.

Stacy Serafine We love our Bumbleride stroller. We have the Indie Twin, but the singles are equally awesome. They have big wheels, and can be a jogger of you want it to be, but it pushes like a breeze and fits a rather tall child. The footrest is completely adjustable. Check out babygizmo.com. She has some really good video reviews. : ) good luck! Parker looks so great, by the way. : ) what a boy.

Andrea Moore Roberts www.jane.com is like etsy with daily deals. They often have fun crocheted hats. If you find something you love online but not the price....send me a pic. Josh's cousin makes amazing things knit and crochet. I've sent her pics before and she came back with something even better than I thought of.

Emily Rees Pierce We have loved our peg perego. It folds down nicely kind of like golf clubs and has one handle to hold. I like that the feet part is moveable so it can be straight out for leg support or down when they are tall enough to bend at the knees. Yay for no wheelchair!!!

Carrie L Kent I'll make him a hat. What size?

Heather Edwards A Bumbleride meets what you need perfectly as far as functionality goes but is on the higher priced end. We have a Chicco Liteway that has a good basket, easy fold and maneuverability. But I don't know if the foot rest is as long as you would need. Ours was only around $100 but it might be worth checking into for a lower prices option.

Sarah Judson I'll start working on a hat for the little man. Any color or style requests, Ashley?

Emily Zitting Stevens Do you have a Shriners Hospital nearby? They often have many models of strollers/wheelchairs you can try out and can even help you get one. I can never remember who lived at the village at the same time but if you knew Michelle Lamborne you could try contacting her. Her little man has needed a wheelchair/medical grade stroller and she tried a bunch from Shriners. She may have some insight for you.

Jim McCauley your cousin Kristi McCauley McCallister has crocheted some really darling hats. Erika also has lots of expertise on strollers. Aunt Arlene McCauley

Ashley Drury Swenson Thanks so much for the ideas! Hmmmmm... Lest I end up with a bunch of super adorable hats... I should mention unfortunately since we live in San Diego it is sadly too hot for most knit hats for most of the year. A real shame if you ask me. He also will be wearing his helmet for quite a while as well... So it is more wishful thinking. :) But thank you for the kind offers! I just saw a super adorable hat on someone that day which got me thinking. You guys are all so sweet!!!
