Sorry it took so long for me to post. It took awhile to process everything, both for them and us. The MRI shows what they suspected from the CT. It is pretty devastating. This little boy has some pretty big mountains to climb ahead of him. They will be able assess more as he wakes up even more. His poor little brain has been through an awful lot.

Erika Carlson McCauley Ashley, when we first received Brock's diagnosis it was the hardest thing I've ever been through. The best advice came from Pres. Monson: Learn from the past, prepare for the future, live in the present. Doctors have to give you the worst case scenario in whatever they tell you. Be patient with yourself, and try not to think too much about the what ifs of the future. You don't know what's in store -- only what they think they can predict. You are still going to laugh, love and hug your sweet boy. He will surprise you in miraculous ways. The Lord will bless you to see the bigger picture in this... But it will all happen in time. For now, get as much rest as you can and take as much space as you need. (Sorry for all of the unsolicited advice from a cousin's wife. Much love and prayers to/for you all.)

Cyndi Ross Hedden I've been studying for my lecture on Thursday. It's got nothing to do with what you are going through but this scripture keeps showing up and every time it does my thoughts turn to you. Doctrine and Covenants 115:5 Verily I say unto you all: Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations;....Maybe it's because you are an amazing example to all of us with your courage, strength, and faith in Jesus Christ or maybe it's something else entirely. We are praying for you all with every prayer that goes through our home.

If you ever need someone to talk to about Parker's MRI or CT scans please feel free to give him a call or have DJ call him. He can offer a second opinion or, if nothing else, help explain things in Layman's terms. Darrell should have his number or I can give it to you. He is very professional and an incredible resource if you need any access to medical information.
